I created a Pages file that included a multilevel numbered list. I exported the file to Word and emailed it to a Word 2007 user. The Word user stated that the formatting of the document and the list looked good. The Word user modified the document (but did not modify the list) and emailed the file back to me. I opened the Word file in Pages.
This is driving me nuts as I've never had this problem with multilevel lists. Choose multilevel list 1) a) i) Tab on second line does not produce a), rather It shows the cursor at the first tab position. 1) type first line, then enter 2) when I tab here - a) is not shown - cursor at first tab position - if I tab again the cursor is at the second tab position.
For example - ^=cursor position after tab 1) This is a test 2) ^ This should look like this: 1) This is a test a) Correct second level -Problems Reply- Have you checked in Word Preferences AutoCorrect - AutoFormat As You Type to see if the check has been removed for Tabs and backspace set left indent? Or whether the topmost check for Automatically correct spelling and formatting as you type has been cleared? I have the same problem, and this answer doesn't work. I went to Tools Customize Keyboard All Commands DemoteList and tried assigning various key combinations to it, but it remains non-functioning.
Is there a way to make it work? THANKS Category: Views: 1 Time:2014-03-28.
